Fish Feeding Ring - Make Your Own?

I've tried & the flow from the filter still makes it fly round the tank.

All that looks like to me is a ring on a piece of string lol I couldn't see the price. That would probz be pretty easy to make just have to find a ring that would float I wouldn't pay for something I could make relatively cheaply it is a good idea tho as I have that problem

Here's a thought: what about if I cut the circle out of an old coke bottle, then used hot glue to attach to a suction cup so it stays in one place and the right way up?

I used to make these, all you need is some air line and an old sucker (and a little bit of silicone)

Make the 'ring' out of airline, connect the 2 end pieces into a t connector, insert free end of t connector into suckker, done (use silicone if neccesary to hold it tight).

Aha, genius! I already have spare airline and everything!

i just cut the top rim off a plastic cup from a water dispenser at work, floats, easypeasy.

You could always switch your filter off while you feed. Lots of salties do that and it's perfectly fine. It wouldn't be off long enough to damage the bacteria.

beat me to it, i was just gonna say, switch the main socket off for 5 mins. It wont hurt.

ooh thanks ... I'm gonna try that! I have exactly the same problem :D

Just don't forget to switch it back on again! My son's always forgetting to turn his filter back on after feeding his catfish, so now I make him set an alarm on his 'phone when he puts the food in, set for 5 or 10 minutes time :)

i connect straws together and it should stay on the side of the tank. works well :good:
