Fish are dying quickly in our 45 gallon tank. Half ouf their bodies are slowly losing clor until they are white. And than they dye. It seems to be happening within a 36 hour time span. Anybody have a solution???
If they are tetras (most likely neons, though this disease is known to infect other tetras as well), then it is neon tetra disease. Infections in the muscle tissue that cause the color loss.
Can you post pictures?
Need tank specs, as Frank said.
If you feel it is neon tetra disease, go to the tropical emergencies forum and look at the pinned thread on diseases. It should have better descriptions there, though if this is what is what is causing the color loss, you'll have to euthanize.
