Fish Cant Turn Left? Video Included

Ok well about a week ago i posted that my cherry barb couldnt turn left, he has some kind of... situation
and to prove it to you all i took my camera.. and made a movie for you so you can see what i mean .

You can notice while watching he never turns left...just right, when he tries to turn left he goes into like a seizure or somthing lol

Watch and be amazed.. the only fish that cant turn left

Couldn't use the video cos i don't have the gear, but it sounds like your fish has a swimbladder disorder if it can't swim in certain directions even if it appears it wants to. You could try medicating the fish with some anti internal bacterial meds and lots of regular water changes and veg based foods, but swimbladder disorders are mostly uncurable- euthanasia is a common option as it is a very stressful condition for the fish and they usually die of starvation when they can no longer aim for food.

Well well. How unusual. Doesn't look particularly stressed by it. Seems to cope well with it. Is it possible he's injured himself somehow? I have a gourami with a bent spine and she is still alive and well. Perfectly happy despite being unable to swim as well as other fish.
I wouldn't euthanise unless he seems to be unhappy, stressed and not eating. And even then I'd try alternatives first.

Looks like hes had a stroke of some kind, and to me looks like hes in pain.

it looks like some sort of muscle cramp or something. like he tries to turn left but he is forced straight as soon as he tries. he might be hurting, hard to know for sure if it hurts or not....

I dont know if he's in pain or not, we'll never know, but i'm going to give him a shot, he still swims around like a fish, he's still very active like a fish. Sure he has a disability, but when you see somone walking around with a twitch is that person in pain, should we kill that person... i highly doubt that would happen.

He's learning to deal with his new disorder, and i'll keep him alive and give him a life instead of taking it away.
