helklo just askin about turtles and fish being kept together before i start this may not actually happen although i imagine it will in some manner if not in the intended one but here we go
i may be getting a 50- 60 gallon tank soon and i wonder if it would be possible to keep turtles with fish if so what types would work if not are there any other amphibians or crustaceans that would work if it would not work .
i am very clueless in  this subject but i like tiger barbs ( i know about there agressive ehabits) or any other colourful or attractive shoaling fish
p.s just a side note would it be possible to keep plants and if so what types would work it will be very low maintenance
thank you for any advice

Nope. That would only be good for small turtles like red eared sliders. Turtles will eat everything including small stones, fish, and plants. They are best in a bare bottom tank with 12-15 times filtration. So I would have that tank with a large canister. Weekly changes. Etc.

If you need any more info I can PM you. :)

If you are thinking of a turtle, please please think carefully. They are wonderful, but you MUST think of how long they live, my two red eared sliders are over 35 years old and 13 & 14" long (shell). I would not recommend turtles with fish long term at all. I do occasionally in an emergency house fish with my little male mississippi map turtle (he is only 5") but its usually only for, at the most a couple of days.
