I have read alot of websites about breeding betta's, and what to feed fry and when. But when it comes to water changes they only tell how to take out the water. I've never read what to put back in and how. do I drip in water? How long should I wait for the first change? When can I go from the half full tank at the start of breeding to a full tank. When do I just add aged water, versus when to use treated water (with Betta Max, Amquel, etc?). Do I need a second 10 gallon tank of water treated the same way the breeder tank was with a heater and filter so that the water added during changes is the same, only cleaner- more balanced? See these are my own thoughts because I've never read anywhere what to do once the water is taken out. I am sure this question is asked frequently, but I am a first time breeder (or will be. hoping.... hoping...  ) So it's all new to me.

Thanks for your help!

ps. my name is supposed to be fisheefren not fishee fern. I don't know how that happened. But I'll take responsibility for it.... :p

i usually wait a week before changing the water. i used aged tap water with some stress coat (removes chlorine and chloramines and does a lot of other stuff). i put it in with a turkey baster, just slowly squirting the sides. it takes a while but it works for me
