First Tank

I im setting up my first tank (trigon 190) and would like to know do you think this sand will be safe to use in it with a good wash?

Hey, there!

I used regular Home Depot sand with my cichlids in a 10gal. I am still new, so I was pretty cautious. I rinsed it 3-4 times and sifted it through a pasta collander while rinsing. That was mmmmm...few weeks ago. Everyone seems fine, my firemouth "sandsifts" it with his food. I test the water every few days. No Probs. But, there are some real power fish tank guys on this site that, have helped me a bunch. Good luck.
