just wondering if one would go in my tank set up? would i need a pair? some first hand experience would be nice rather than reading from the internet =]

33g i have angels, gouramis, odessa barbs, kribs, yoyos!

i wouldnt try it. 33g isnt much.. there would probably be aggression. especially if you got a pair.

fair enough, just thought that the minimum was 30g, i would only keep one anyways for that reason!

Yeh..it owuld be but not a pair with other fish, they would ill the whole tank in a 30g.

Go for a individual...they are great characters :)

so I can just have 1? :)

we have them in at work but they are too young to sex, would it be best going for a male or female?

=]

You could deffo try it...its gonna have a risk factor because you have multiple Cichlids in a small tank...but i think it would work.

Any chance you can drop 1 of the Kribs?

I could only try i guess lol

I could get rid of one of the kribs, but there isnt a chance of my pair breeding and becoming agressive

the pair of angels are very docile and i have one unknown apisto that hides, the tank is rather gourami orientated!

Sounds silly but Cichlids just need a little time and *SNAP* most of us have been there and seen it.....they could be fine together for 5 years then all of sudden want to murder each other.

I say go for it...they are all pretty much 'all bark and no bite' just be cautious that nothing breeds!!!!!!

I currently have 2 x 1" convicts that have bred taking up 3ft of my 4ftx2ftx2ft tank keeping my 6 x Green Terrors in a 1ft space at the bottom of the tank and they are over 4 x the size of the Convicts!!! breeding Cichlids are crazy!

If you are to get a Firemouth (really nice fish) get a diddy one..and let him grow...don't get anything over 3"

thankyou so much for your help =]

the ones at work are only tiny, Ill give it a go, trial and error =]
