is it just the males that do this or do females do it too? the reason i ask is my 2 are both doing it displaying to each other. now 1 has deffinately much more pointed dorsal and anal fins than the other . been trying to get decent pics but they wont stay still long enough

If it is breeding behaviour and I believe but could be wrong that is it, you could have a problem, they will become extremely defensive of the eggs and could cause the rest of the fish stress as they chase them away.

Anyway you can seperate them to their own tank?

hopefuilly its just agression as i no longer have my spare tank

Trouble is if they are just being aggressive to each other, eventually one will win and most probably kill the other, maybe when you did the tank re-arrange the other day you broke up their territories and they trying to re-establish themselves.

theyve pretty much ignored each other tonight il just keep an eye on them and act as needed. if they are 2 maless and end up fighting i will just take 1 to lfs

both my dominate male and female flare no biggie, usually this is because the dominate female is swimming about chasing off the sub dominate female and male while the male is looking for an apartment. then he comes out they flare at each other then swim nose down for a bit showing off then go back to what they were doing.
