Its not to serious at the moment,my larger Firemouth in my tank has stopped harassing my Kribs for a change and started picking on my Blue Acara.

The Blue Acara will fight back with the Kribs but not the FM.

Will this settle down? or am I going to have to switch stuff around (which I dont want to do)

My slightly smaller Firemouth is not interested in him at all.

Give it a couple of days, see if they settle down, if not, then yes, you will need to bag the FM, re-arrange the tank, then release him back again.

How long have the fish been in together for? What's the size difference?

My Firemouths have been in there for about a year.

the Aggressive one is about 3.5-4"
The smaller one is about 2.5"

The Blue Acara is about 2" max

There housed with a 4" Severum,9" Severum,2x 3" Kribs,8" Pearl Cichlid,2 6" Angel Fish,6 rainbows of varying sizes,4" Blue Gourami,8" Gibbiceps Plec

Oh and 3 3" Clown Loaches

If you added the blue acara on june30 (when you made the other topic about acaras), then it's probably a dominance issue. Should settle down in a bit. When it grows the firemouth might even lose its place.

Do you have a grow out (or other) tank where you could house the acara if it doesn't settle down? That way you could add him back later when he has a bit more size.

Yeh thats the one,no I havent got a smaller tank...my mrs wont let me :p

Its nothing major really,it just worrys me because he doesent fight back wheras my Kribs and Little Severum both did so the Firemouth doesent bother them much.
