I have a firebelly newt in a 10 gallon tank. Right now 1/2 of the tank has water and the other 1/2 has dry land. He never goes on the dry land so i was wondering if i could fill the entire tank. Could i or should i leave it half and half??

You could fill it more like 3/4 maybe more but it needs air

Whats your water temp parameters I can rarely get mine in and neither can others i think on this forum are similar

Maybe checks this in inverts-amphibians section

Well it doesn't have to be 1/2-1/2. Just as long as he has some dry land to lay on. You could get a floating island and fill it up a little more higher but be careful to place it so he can't escape.

Agreed. If he doesnt come out now, it doesnt mean he never will. I had one who lived completely in the water for about a year, then just decided to become terrestrial. You can redo the tank according to him though... now it can be mostly water but if he decides to start coming out of the water be ready to prepare himj with some more land.
