Fire Mouths Tail Has Gone Black

hi i noticed that one of my fire mouths tail has gone black. dose any one know what it is. could it have anything to do with treating white spot as i have restocked my tank over the last 5 months and must have got it from new fish, the tank has been running for 4 or 5 years with little probs. i have 2 young fire mouths, 2 young kribs, 8 guppys, 7 neon tetras, 3 small brisle nose plecs, 3 sail fin mollys and a angle fish.


the tank is very peacefull
25%ish water changes weekly
Tank size:120l about 25g,ish
pH:7
ammonia:0
nitrite:0
nitrate:40
kH:dont know dont have test
gH:dont know dont have test
tank temp: 26


its not ammonia burns cos my ammonia is allways 0

I'm not sure why but the friemouth and kribs right there are over stocked. you should drop one pair. either keep the kribs or the firemouths or rehouse one pair. also it should be noted that on top of being over stoked the kribs are african cichlids and the firemouths are SA/CA cichlids.

i have another tank set up for nearly a month but waiting for cycling shouldnt be long. can that have anything to do with the tail

Wait you have two tanks? or the tank you have has only been set up for a month?

i have 4 tanks all together 2 tropical 1 cold water and 1 cycling tropical all 120L

setting up new for african cichlids and pos my indian gouramis

well if you can get one for africans and one for the firemouths that would be best imo.
