Fire Eel

I recently posted a topic called 'HELP Fire Eel escape'.

Well this is the eel once fully recovered!

NICE!! Love fire eels!! I had one many years ago, and he escaped too. We came home from shopping and I was like where's the eel? We looked all over the place for him, we even wondered if the dog had a snack but we finally found him in a little fake christmas tree that was next to the tank. He did fine once he got back in the water!!

I miss him alot. I ended up selling him to the LFS because I had gotten ill and couldn't look after all the tanks I had He used to eat live earthworms out of my fingers.....


How long have you had yours for? He looks really, really nice!!

i was watching a fishing programme earlier and this english man went to india to catch different kinds of fish and 1 of the 2 species they were trying to catch were fire eels and then they ate it

I have had him for a few months now, but when I first found him on the floor I was gob smacked because I have LOADS of eels but they have never jumped out befor.

I love eels also and totaly agree that he is gorgeous, lol
