Fins Clamping?

oops, didn't know that. it's a little late now for this one, but i'll remember that in the future.
i'm gonna try and add another couple fish this weekend, once things in the tank are back to normal. so i'll mkae sure to properly climatize them before adding them into the tank.
i just hope this little platy can make it through whatevers bothering her.

Ok.
Good Luck.

ok so now it's been a couple days since i stopped treating for ich and things aren't any better... in fact their worse.

she's started hiding out in one of the cave ornaments in my tank and only comes out when it's feeding time. fins are still clamped tight.

think i'm gonna pick up some meds today and give that a shot before its to late.

Have you noticed her going to the toilet. If so what does it look like.
Any fish in the tank stressing her out.

Are you sure she not pregnant.

her poo seems to be normal. it's a reddish color, but has been that way since i got her. all the other fish poo the same color as her. i think it's because the flake food i feed them is the same color red as their poo. one of my swordtails was chasing her around for a couple days after i first got her, but i haven't noticed this behavior in a while.

i guess she could be pregnant but she doesn't appear to be plump enough to me. she isn't very wide and her belly just seems to be rounded, in all the pictures i've seen of pregnant platies, their bellies seem to be a little more squared.

I would issolate her and try a bacterial med.

i dont have a spare tank to issolate her in. any other way i can do that?

Whats your location.
How long have you had her now.

What do u mean by location? i'm in Connecticut in the United States, and i have limited space for tanks as i'm in an apartment.
i've had her for about 2-3 weeks now. she was fine for the first week i had her, and then started acting this way after i started treating my tank for ich.

Give her a few more days.
maracyn plus.

ok so, it's been a couple days since i stopped the ich treatment and had the carbon in the filter. she seems to be a doing better, she's sociabale again and is alot more active. must have just been the meds stressing her out.... all that worry over nothing.

That's good news.
Meds in tank can stress fish.
