Finrot Thanks To Lfs...

Hi,
Ive brought some fish from a popular LFS, and got them home 3 died..., and all the rest finrot, ive put interpet finrot treatment in, is there anything else i can do for them?

Keep their water nice and clean, and follow the medication instructions to the letter. If you have a spare carbon filter, put it in once the med course has finished.

stats: unsure of due to having test strips..., i have a API master kit on the way
I got guppies from there sadly 6 have died...out of 8
fish i already have
2 mollys (healthy)
3 guppies (healthy)
1 zebra danio (healthy)
1 common plec (healthy)
1 pakistani loach (healthy)

i do know my tank is too small for the plec, i am currently fish-less cycling my 4ft tank

What do the test strips say? Accurate or not, they will give you a better idea...

The fish sound like they are dying quickly?! Is it just tatty and sore looking fins/tail or does it rapidly spread all the way up their body and half paralyse them before they die?

I always quarantine fish before adding them to my tank, this stops infection to the other fish, and if the fish u have bought has some sort of problem you can treat it on its own without affecting other fish, also a quarantine tank comes in handy when one of your fish in your original tank is sick as you can just put it in the otherone away from the other fish stopping infection, that's my opinion anyways hope it helped
