Is it something to worry about that I woke up this morning and I can't find one of my fish? I don't think he is dead I don't see him in the gravel anywhere. I'm just wondering if he is hiding behind something or in the plants just somewhere I can't see him. I know its kinda a crazy/dumb question but I wanted to ask.

A lot of the time a fish that is dead will simply 'disappear'. This is what happens to a lot of my older fish.

Have a good look around and try to see the body. If you can't, maybe he is just hiding. Test the water to be on the safe side - is your tank finished cycling? Is there anything aggressive in it?

I finanlly found him and yes he was dead. I'm still doing the fish-in cycle but he didn't die because of any of that. I have a bully tetra serpa who has killed off the other 2 serpas (the one who was missing.) I know these guys are supposed to be in groups but I think/feel that if I get anymore he is just going to attack them also (another reason I haven't done any water changes because he attacked them both after I changed out 15 gallons.)
