May not be perfect...and knowing me I will probably do another round of paint later to 100% perfect sheen.  Good news is I didn't have to drain my tank and put it on a new stand.... Save money, buy zebra pleco! Woot.  Thoughts?

did you just paint the wall behind the tank?

No I encased the entire stand with internal Velcro L brackets and the best hardy plywood that won't bow. Cut it to exact measurements and then painted with a water proof paint case it ever got wet, wood won't rot.

Thank you! I don't need cabinets because I have a huge two door closet in the office. Or I would've built in a door but buying cable ties and cable wall or floor covers would have cost the same as this did. Also, my stand had some wear from previous owner and I didn't feel like sanding and painting metal. Especially since my goal was to not have to drain and move my tank temporarily.

Looks real nice mate good work

Fantastic job!

Xmas moss on that driftwood in the tank would look great as well.

Really good - it's amazing the difference just a cheap job can make.

It has java fern but I assume I can do both? Where can I get Xmas moss? I'm near austin tx. Lfs?

Java fern doesn't make as good of an aquatic tree as moss does...It looks like you already got some growing on the wood in there, just wait and it'll soon become lush.

In my area LFS's dont really carry mosses, but online retailers like aquabid are a good place to find items that the LFS doesn't carry. If you get some, attach the mesh netting to the wood. :)

I did try Aquabid to no avail.  However, their site takes FOREVER to load pages so I usually get frusturated after my first key word search fails.  They really need to upgrade their IIS/HHTP server holy geez.

Sometimes that happens to me, but I always thought it was my bad connection. There's also ebay, but some stores take forever to ship since they're in asia.
