Still not great, but better! Would you believe that underneath that chocolate exterior, I noticed the betta blue colour in his tail?!

He is really nice, has the same tail type as my yellow boy.I went to Epping today, what a lush shop, beats all but one of out lfs. Was not going to buy any fish but ended up with peach's (peach fighter girl) - 2 Krisbensis and two apple snails ....aggghhh bad me lol. Grandson was very restless so did not get to have a proper nose around but saw some very nice tanks in there too.Took a piccie of the £24 betta, personally would not pay it for him, seemed a lot for what he was, however really did like a red one they had in there. THanks for pointing me to them, really appreciate it

Where do they keep the female bettas? I never see them in there!
Yeah they are a good shop, the fish last forever!! I know all the lovely boys in there, they're very polite and I have my fave who looks after me
I had the £24 betta but they must have replaced him with the one they had on display near the till, he wasn't as nice as the one I took home, they gave me the choice - I have to say though they had similar tempraments, angry and scared.. I hope someone good takes the other one.
The red one was the double tail I'm HOPING will still be there when I get some more money together! Did you see the crown tail? I'm guessing someone must have had the yellow VT then if he wasn't there? bottom row, middle tank?

The girls are to the right of the boys in the main tank top centre of the shelves, they has another soft peach one and some other lighter ones, she has settled in well with my other 4 girlies.

They must have replaced him, the one they have replaced the £24 one with is nothing like you boy, I would not pay a tenner for the replacement. The red was sooooo tempting - top left of the row - they did have a yellow still at the bottom, but got to wait till I get paid at end of the month cos to buy another fighter means another tank lol. The was a real nice white one top right that was sold.

I was impressed with the staff, young boy served us, was brilliant at catching the fish, nice and calm about it. Am definalty adding that to list of fav places to spend an afternoon.

Ohhh and next time your giving a tank away I will meet you there lol.

That white one - the super delta - I NEARLY had him, I loved him, great personality not at all scared or shy, oh well it wasn't meant to be mine I guess
