Finally Set Up The 17 Litre Lol

Selling my big tank as i just havent got the nmotivation to look after it properly... although ive just spent an hour cleaning it up nicely

anyhow... set up my small 17 litre with my filter...which ive put part of the current filter media in
should this be instantly cycled???

i was planning on leaving it 24 hours anyhow.....

Planning on putting a betta in there i currently have... can i put in anything else??

Can't really get away with anything else. And I'd pop the betta in as soon as the tanks up to temp, will be fine if you've put a decent amount of filter media in.
