hey,
my fish finally had their babies.
at the start.. i had 4 pregnant guppies.
so far. 3 guppies have given birth.
now.. 1 guppy to go.
she should be having her babies pretty soon.
anyway...
now altogether i have roughly around about 30 baby guppy fry.
and i still have the other guppy to give birth.
and also from a while ago i have 4 baby plattys.
they are like a fingernail size now.
they have grown quite alot.
so.. i'm just waiting on the 4th guppy to have her babiess.
so i will be full with guppies.
does any one have any extra tips on ow to take care of them.
And does anyone know how long they take to grow?
thanks.

My Green Cobra guppy has just had 30 odd fry!
I think guppies are quite quick growers... here is waht i did to make sure i could save as many fry as possible, i filled a 5 gall tank with java moss/plants then left her too it! i was lucky enough to see her giving birth and she didnt eat one! WOO!

Jenna, the main thing you need to do to get fast growth of fry is feed them a good balanced fish food that is high in protein and keep their water crystal clear. I have heard of a guppy breeder whose method he described this way. Every time I walk by the tank from the left I feed them and every time I walk by from the right I change their water. It might be a bit extreme but he was trying to make the point.

thanks everyone.
for all of my guppies, i used a breeding trap.
i think there heaps good.
then i took the mother guppy out and put her in the normal tank.
because i have two tanks. one about 2 ft. for all the normal fish. and a small tank for all the babiess
i feed them crushed up tropical fish flakes.
im just wondering that i think i should keep the baby plattys in that tank for a bit longer.. because i have 2 angel fish and 1 of those sharkss. and the rest are fine.
but ill keep those away from them for now.
and i accidently had 1 baby guppy in with the baby plattys. i think the plattys thought it was food. because when they saw it.. it just chased it for a second then went off somewhere else because the baby guppy was too quick for it. lol
thanks everyone.
