I finally got my planted tank started! My plants arrived via UPS early this morning, and I've got everything in the tank right now. Ludwigia repens, Echinodorus parviflorus, Glossostigma elatinoides, Hydrocotyle leucocephala, Anubias barteri v. nana, and an Aponogeton crispus are what I have planted so far. I got them from Aquariumplants.com, and everything looked very good coming out of the box, though I'm curious to see how the Aponogeton will do. It looked a little on the weak side.

Here's were everything stands right now:
Temp: hovering around 25 Celsius, give or take;
pH: about 7.0
KH: 8
CO2: about 24ppm
lighting: about 3.3wpg

Can't wait to see how things will begin to grow in. Already amazed that there's a little pearling coming from the Glosso and the swords.

P.S. I'll post pics when I get some taken, though of course everything's pretty short right now.

are you using the ph/kh table to get your CO2 levels?
this is only a very rough guide and shouldn't be used as the only way of gauging your levels.

other things in the tank will influence the PH and the KH test kits wont give you accuracy either. add a drop checker if you haven't got one already.

thats quite a lot of light, you'll need to stay right on top of the CO2.

yes, I do have a drop checker as well. So far, it seems to be lining up roughly with what the pH/KH chart is saying.
