i wouldnt worry about bioloa

i had 6 more fish in the tank for a month whilst there original home was been sorted out so i know the tank can take more fish in terms of water quality etc. its just a space issue which is one reason for wanting just two more corries, they stay on the bottom and out of the way.

pineapple seems to be the consensus, so a pineapple mustard gas betta he is.

he is stunning in the flesh, the best betta i have ever seen for real but then i would say

Just remember Bettas are air breathers and have to have room at the top to get air. leave room for that for him.

good point. its about 40% covered with small floating lettuce.

what's an MG out of interest?

Absoloutly fine.

Bettas love that floating lettuce, the roots make good hiding places. I wouldn't worry about surface cover with what you have, 40% isn't an issue x

thanks for putting my mind at ease Beth, he still swims on near the bottom though, maybe thats because it a new place to him, likes all the plants lower down or maybe does not like my tall tank, its 16" high. What ever the reason he looks happy, is eating and all my fishes are getting on.
