Finally Got A Madagascar Lace Plant But

I wasn't expecting this flowering stem to come with it.

Should I cut it off?

This is the flower stalk. Sometimes if you're lucky, you'll get the seeds to develop on the stalk. If you're really lucky, you can get the seeds to germinate once the flowers are spent, I had this happen with several aponogetons that I had over the years.

Cool find. I've got a Madagascar too.

It sprouted a leaf in under 48 hours?

Aponogetons do this, you get 2-3 new leaves a week, sometimes more. IME try and keep the leaves exposed as when they don't get light they tend to die off.

IMO, they do like a nutrient rich substrate. That being said, I've had aponogetons grow in inert substrates, but the tank was an old system.

Hey guys...

I had read up on this plant for a while before I got it and recognize it's fast growing once established. But when I got this I had to trim the already few roots it had, I didn't expect it to establish itself that quickly. The fastest growing plant I've kept is jungle val but this is like lightspeed in comparison lol

Might move my Crispus Red then, after a major overdose of excel to kill BBA it died right back, has 3 runners and some leaves now but might move it from the jungle to a more well lit area till it's taller then move it back.
