Congrats,ral, that's awesome. Out of all the bubble nesting wilds, the mahachai are some of my fave. I bought a wild caught pair but they're in a species tank right now. I hope to spawn them....someday.

Here are some pics of the fish available, but this is not the one I got. The one I got is a tad bit smaller than these two, but he had a nice bubble nest going This are two of the other Mahachai from the same batch:

I noticed, that there seemed to be more diversity in apperance of the wild B. Splendens and the B. Imbellis. The B. Splendens Mahachai see to all have a uniform look.

The wilds here don't move fast... and the Imbellis is the favorite with four pairs being sold. The wild B. Splendens did not move until one gent (an American living in the Philippines) ordered the 9 nine pairs available. I am the only Mahachai buyer so far. $18 a pair is not a bad price.

Lucky you @ $18 a pair..the ones I want are $400 a pair lol. I sadly have to admit..I shall never see them...I may pay have paid some high prices for some fish, but I refuse to spend that much on fish .

How many wilds do you have wuv?

As my own, I have wild caught mahachai, kapuas, simplex and smaragdina. As houseguests I have wild caught imbellis,smaragdina, mahachai and changrai at the moment.

Macrostoma is my dream betta =) I've heard it's quite difficult to get them to spit, so I don't know if I'll ever invest.
