yours for sure (#1), I think it's one of (if not THE) best planted tank I've ever seen, great tank Konrad and good luck.

The third tank seems to have been done by someone with a grasp for asian/natural styles, but there is a definite sense of incompletion in composition . . . The foreground area is too thin, the crypts behind them are too thin, the micranthemoides and hornwort are weak and thin compared to the over-power moss/wort, crypts, and ferns . . . Without any hardscape visible, there is a definite sense of a lack of structure. Basically, I feel it to be very lacking.

I'm not even going to talk about the cichlid tank because the composition there is just plain weak.

As for your tank . . . well, you got to admit that those sag's are way to strong dude. I'd break 'em up. Having such tall sag's wouldn't be a problem if they were spread in a foreground of open space mixed with some stones. The background is wonderful, if not a bit too full. An interesting midground would help give the tank more depth.

Overall though, I'd have to say your tank is the definitely the strongest dude.

It'd be a right laugh if tank #2 won. I'd vote for your tank, just that I don't like the grassy plant... Plus, I'm just a sucker for a tank with "carpet" plants. And your val seems to be covering some plant at the back... Your pennywort's nice though, I'm trying to get mine to look like that. Is yours planted or is it floating?

To each his own I guess... Ya know what they say; "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Anyways, wish you all the best and hope you get that $250 gift certificate. I'm sure you can find some way to spend it, if not gimme a call and I'll be over before you can say "Big Al's" :D

Your tank should win mate. I think thinning out the your foreground Sagittaria would improve the overall look though. Have you got pressurized CO2 yet? That's what I'd spend the winnings on!!

Good luck

your tank for sure dude

and im a huge fan of aquatic grass,if i had a nice CO2 system i would get a tank just full of it on the bottom :p

#2 hands down for me. Im not really into planted tanks that much now that i kinda had one and relised how much of a pain in the ass they are :p

I know I know, the grass is too long. But actually that picture is from a few months ago, the grass now is about 1/3 the height as it is in the picture, and some plants have been replaced, so I guess I took your suggestions...in advance, thanks though

Thanks to everyone who voted and who posted :D
