its been a long choice but here it is

i have a 15 gallon tank to use
its good for me

any way i plan to put in 12 neon tetras
and two honey gourami one male one female
in a planted tank
what could i use as caves i was thinking about reptile caves
from exo-terra

any thing wrong with this list or any other fish instead of the gourami

could i use caves and would the fish use them

I'm sure someone might say your overstocked (maybe, i'm no good at doing the stocking calculations) - anyway, I would add a Betta instead of gourami's.

I wouldn't add a betta because either the betta will start attacking/eating the neon tetras or the tetras will nip his fins.

Durbkat - my betta + neons have gotten on fine for months...

Well you have been lucky so far or your betta must be a mellow fellow because if the betta is aggressive he could/will attack/eat the neons.

I don't get this: honey gouramis don't grow bigger than about 2"; surely that's not too big for a 15 gal? They're smaller than dwarfs. And more peaceful than a betta. I'd go for the gouramis.
