Hello,

I move my Purple into my large tank and my red into the smaller tank. I'm going to have to get rid of one and I chose the red, because I've had the purple longest.

I put him in in the night to enable him to reastablish the tank as his territory (just as before) while the other fish slept.

Woke up this morning to find the rummynose weren't appreciative of that. For some reason, they will nip the purple and not the red. Strange.

Anyway, moved them back.

What do I do to speed up the healing process?

Warmer water? Salt? Fin-rot medicine? Vitachem (or something similiar to that) ?

Help is appreciated.

Time and a "clean" environment. The fins usually do not grow back in the original colour.

Normally paler, sometimes clear. It is possible for them to look almost identical though, so don't give up hope :)

Unless there is severe pigment damage,t he fins will usually grow back the same color as before.

Just keep the water clean, will do. Also brime shrimp in garlic will help speed up recovery or just soak his food in garlic juice (don't put the garlic juice in the tank)
