I think the bulb I put in to the betta tank is too hot and caused my bettas tail fin to 'melt'. I mean no way to better describe how it looks right now.
The betta was resting on some floating plants and it must have happened then.
The betta is completely fine. Acting normal, swimming just fine and the other fins aren't clamped or anything to show that he's stressed.

Will the tail heal back to how it is supposed to be shaped or will it stay like it is?
As I said, the betta acts totally normal. It's not bothered by the tailfin at all.

Hrmm well, figured out that it wasn't the light causing the fin damage. There is ammonia in the water.
Not sure why since I used some filter media from a cycled tank, AND I've been squeezing out the filter from the cycled tank in to a cup that I've been pouring in to the betta's filter.
Will be keeping an eye on it though. Just added even more filter media and some baking soda since the pH has also crashed, so hopefully that helps.
And hopefully the betta's fins will heal back to what they should look like. Poor little guy.
