Im running two tanks off a air pump that is slowly getting his last legs lol And i went into a shop today and saw a air pump with 4 outlets that does 1500L/per hour and im jus wondering how many litres per hour is a good pump to get to run two tanks? One tank is a 20inch 10g and the other is a 24inch 17g and im soon to be replacing the 10g with another 17 - 20g what would you say is best L per hour pump to run these?

If it's just for providing air into the tank, ie. bubble walls, airstones, etc. then it really doesn't matter. As long as there's enough output to produce bubbles from every orifice you want 
Don't know how you calculate the requirements for individual airstones, etc. but if it helps a Rena 100 handled a 24" air wall and deep sea diver (don't ask).

No i use filters that run through a air pump.. y are u using an aip pump to run a filter?
use an external or a internal filter. loads better
