I don't see a problem with it at all, very economical way to overfilter a larger tank. :good: My only concern would be if the outflow was too high and blow the fish around the tank, but you could always point to the side or in a corner to help a little.

Edit: Was looking a little closer at the picture and I can't tell but does it need to be in the tank, I know it says external, but I can't see where the hoses would fish for input/output. I'd contact them and ask if it can be adapted for home aquarium use, unless someone else here knows.

Great idea to safe abit of dollar !! If you do get one, the Ecocel 2200 may be ok, but i think the 4500 & 9000 might turn your tank into a whirl pool.

Lol ok I Catch your drift :p, maybe if point it towards the glass, thing is im doing a african cichlid tank and i apprently need 10 times the literage which is 400+ :| lol

Your tank is 400 litre ? So you'd need two or more filters that together turn over at least 4000 litres per hour. LOL i can see why you'd want the 4500 or 9000.

Personally i wouldn't though, i think they'd be too strong.
