correct mate i am, they make 0% noise apart the click when goes on/off.

I have 12 of these timmers and there all the same in fact i think they the argos pack of 3 jobies

i got the wickes pack'o'4 el cheapo ones... will upgrade to lcd sometime - probably when i get my paycheck
