I got a small problem...

My tank is still fishless cycling all that's in it right now is a decent sized piece of wood, and two caves. It's a 55 gallon. I got sand in it. I have two filters on it. One is a Aqueon 55 quiet flow and the other is a 75 quiet flow. The problem I'm having is the water from the filters is bouncing off the front of my glass and towards the bottom front of my tank and moving my sand out of place to where you can see the bare glass at the bottom of my tank. I fix it and it happens again like an hour later. I dunno what to do about it. I thought about putting a rock or wood over the two spots, but it's right in the front of my tank and I'd rather not. The filters don't have an option to turn down the power either. Any suggestions? I did only use 40 pounds of sand. Would putting another 20 pounds in solve this problem or would it still happen?

It would still happen, even if you added more sand.

The only two options you have are to either put some wood or rock there, as you thought, or move the flow somehow. I'd just like to point out that having rock or wood near the front of your tank can look very effective.
