ive a aps 1000 external filter the hose pipes are fairly long and are curling up at the back of the tank is it ok 2 cut the hose to the lenght i need i think it should be ok but just want to ask before cutting it

yes it is. Most people need to cut their hoses so that they are the appropriate length and don't have any kinks, bends or loops in them.
