I'm debating on cycling my ten gallon tank and adding some cories, but I don't know if I should change my filter first? It says "Top Fin 10" on it. It came with the ten gallon kit. The reason I'm asking is because the kit filters are often crappy, will this deal with the bioload of one betta, 4 ADF, and some cories (suggestions for numbers, please?)

I'm no fan of kit filters either, I use AquaClears for hob's, some folks prefer biowheels. Either way you can't go wrong with one rated for a 20 gallon, as corys can get messy.

A group of 5 aeneus would work, one concern would be the compatability of the adf & betta. Either would get along with the corys. Another problem might be having mainly bottom feeders with the frogs & corys, as adf are mostly bottom feeders from what I understand.

Alright. :good:

The betta is a pacifist. I don't know why, he's a male, but he refuses to flare. :/ I got him as a freebie with another three when I got them shipped in September, so I've had him since then... he enjoys looking at the female, though. But the ADF's gobble up flakes, I've noticed them chewing on little scraps of dead hornwort and spitting it out, but, I don't know. If it needs to be, I can move the ADF's... I have four other tanks, three containing bettas and one containing baby snails and their eggs. I have an extra tank, too, so if need be I can just load that up. Oh, and the tanks are 2 - 2.5, I guess enough for ADF's considering I've heard you can put 2-3 in a 1 gallon. Anyway, I also can buy sand substrate and I'm definately going to buy some more plants. Ask for twenty dollars for Christmas, ah? Thanks for the help, though! :good:

ADF's will work fine with your betta. The frog floats to the top and eats side by side with my betta.
