Hi
I was thinking of upgrading my filter to a eheim pro 3 but do anyone think a 1000 ltr hour filter is a bit overkill for a 125 ltr tank? And do anyone know if you can adjust the flow on them?
Thank uiu

Should be fine, I run a 1000lph filter on my 60litre and all is good :good:

Not sure about adjusting the flow on the eheim tho.

You can easily fashion a spraybar to adjust your flow.

Outside of current, though, there is no such thing as too much filtration!

good choice of fiter! Now, as previously mentioned from a filtration point of view you can't really have too much flow. Where it does become problamatic is if you have a heavily planted tank and too much water movement/surface agitation. Plants do best with a slow to moderate circulation. A spray bar placed just below the surface will disperse the flow nicely. Alternatively the output from the filter can be reduced using the taps, but be weary of putting any back pressure on the pump resulting in noise, which will lead to un-nessasary wear

Depends a lot on the fish you have in there, some like WCMM would love that much current, but most gourami and Betta species would not be happy at all.

Is the flow of the Pro 3 filters adjustable via buttons, similar to the Pro 3E series?
