Filter Recommendations

Hi all,

I know I'm very new to the fish keeping game be I am already wondering if my Juwel Internal Filter is going to be enough to keep my tank clean and provide the best filtration. So I want to ask in the forum's opinion on which type and which manufacturers are the best.

My tank is about 100 litres if that information is needed.

Hi Bob,

The question, basically, "which is the best filter?" is one of the major FAQ items of all times on the forums and probably always will be! You may get a flood of responses, but may I suggest that you might want to start with some advanced searches (using the forum search tool) where you limit the search to the hardware and diy section and you search on "best filter" or those sorts of keywords. That way you can read some of the thousands of previous posts on this very topic. You will find that sometimes its a very "political" question with each camp quite devoted to their particular manufacturer/model-line/specific-model of filter.

Hopefully in addition to this you'll get here in this "New to the Hobby" forum some folks experienced with your very thing of wondering about the Juwel one itself and its performance. Good luck!
