Hi , Im looking some advice on my Juwel 400 filter, a while ago i changed the blue sponge and after a day there was white stuff in the tank (Rekord 110). I had to completely empty the tank and keep all fish in a hospital tank. The water looked like one of those things you shake to see a snow scene, thousands of white bits and some quite large. I changed the green sponge the other day and i am getting the same problem although I now know where the stuff is coming from, when you lift out the basket containing the sponges and lift the power head up you can see the white stuff on the inside of the fliter housing. The housing is stuck to the side of the tank and cant be removed. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. All my fish were gasping at the top of the tank and the water was also very cloudy.
