Hi guys about a week ago i put in a old used filter which i have used in the past. i placed it in my tropical 110 litre tank to cycle for hopefully my next tank. i already had a filter running in it for 1 year now so will everything be ok. with the bacteria and all. Many thanks :thanks:

So there are two filters running in the tank now.

Think it could take a month for the bacteria to grow in the new filter

But after that it should be fine.

Sorry, I didn't get it much.

So, you said you put a year old filter in your aquarium. Is it "freshly" transferred? Like, you have another aquarium from which this was taken? Or is it an old filter that was previously used, but never used any more (was kept in a box)?

I already have a year old filter matured in the tank but added a non-cycled old filter into it
