i really appreciate the offer and may well take you up on it but to be absolutely truthful in my opinion the tank was not fully cycled [even though where i purchased my fish from said it was he may be right but i have my doubts] i have had to have one heater replaced and surprise surprise tonight the lights have packed up and to say i am not over impressed would be an understatement.Can see my son inheriting an hardly used aquarium very shortly

taking lights back tomorrow and will be asking him to reiterate what he told me about cycling as i now have fish and my readings from my test unit would say to me ,even though i am inexperienced in aquariums but not in fish keeping that the tank was not cycled when i purchased the fish
