i might have a bit spare... will have a check...

What filter are you running? I could spare a little (gave 1/4 of it away last week you see).

Ahh. I can not give you any bio media as I am waiting for mine to grow back up to previous levels. I can squeeze all of my sponges into a bag of tank water for you though if you like. I am in East Manchester. Junction 23 M60.

That would be pointless, the bacteria live on the media not in the water.

Actually, if you squeeze or wash the sponges or an established filter into the water of a new tank then it will help colonise the new filter quicker. This is because some of the bacteria fall off the sponge with the rough handling.

I wouldnt be trusting nobodys media but my own, who knows whats dormant and waiting to jump out and attack! wraaaaaaaaaa
