Just read up on replacing filter after 8 weeks? Read on here the carbon filter is a waste of time and needs replacing with something else ?

Anyone got advise please?

• Clean the PF filter foams (see PF instructions for details) - you will
need to replace the carbon filter foam every 8 weeks.

That's because activated carbon gets exhausted, it should only be used to remove tannins and meds so you don't need to have it in all the time.

Just replace it with a normal filter sponge.
