Hey Guys,

Im going to get a filter for my 5 gallon tank, i have had the tank for about three weeks, it's getting cycled with my betta in it . I have no idea what kind of filter to get....or can you make your own? If so, what exactly do I need? Thanks for your help

I was trying to find that link^ lol

=]

other than that it may just be a bit cheaper/less work to get a Fluval U1 or an Interpet PF1 they are usually less than £15 nowadays

I think I get it.......

But, the sponge filter is above the gravel....right?.....And when you buy them at the store, are they like rectangles? and So i'll have to cut it to fit around the big tube?

And how does the air pump tubing stay in the big tube, wouldnt it float out?

What kind of a filter should i get for my betta.......like material of the sponge? current? Anything will be helpful....and when you buy air pumps do they give you the tubing?

I have always used Elite mini filters which are mini for 2-6 UK Gallon tanks (I currently have some for sale for £5 including postage)

You can make your own but i dont know how lol...

Well good luck anyways

I bought an elite stingray 5.....for a 5.5 gallon.....will that be good? I heard someone in this forum had a stingray.....any reviews

Yepp thats great, i use a stingray for my 5gallon, there very safe, you can turn the spray nozel which ever way you want, and there not too strong, good choice :), i highley suggest this filter to any betta keepers.
