just bought a second hand aqua one aquastart 320, im gunna use it for a betta tank :)  im not gunna use the under gravel filter, does anyone know of a small internal filter for it? and i would need a 50w heater?

50 watt heater should be fine. I use a tetra whisper 10i on my 10 gallon tank and a whisper 3i on my 1.5 gallon tank. The 10i works pretty well. I like it a lot better than the 3i. The 3i doesn't work unless the water is all the way up to the lip of the filter. If I let it get down just a little, the flow stops completely. For your tank, I would use the 10i.

50w heater should be fine for it. Never used an internal filter, so can't recommend.

I just pulled my undergravel filter out of my 45g. I had a HOB on it too.  I have had that tank set up for years. I was never happy with it. I am replacing all my filters with sponge filters. I find that are cheaper to buy and better on your hydro bill too.
I agree with everyone,. a 50w heater will work well.

why not?

they are excellent filters....more than enough for a small tank

its second hand so dont really trust it, was going to get a fluval mini, would the current be ok for a betta? i cant seem to find the tetra whisper 10i

undergravel filters last a lifetime, second hand or new shouldnt matter, unless the filter plates are physically damaged

In my aquastart 500 I use an all pond solution internal 800lph. It was 15 pounds. They do a 600lph one cheaper. Mine is very powerful

If you buy one Use code festive-15 for 15 percent off ( think it still works)

I've never had a betta so not sure how much flow they like. I would go for the 450lph or 600lph

I have a fluval mini, if you can angle it the short way in the tank rather than the long way it wouldn't create a swirl and should be fine.

Just wanted to add, I use mine in my shrimp tank. If the current does end up being a problem, place a plant right in front and that takes care of the problem... but as above just putting the filet pointing the width rather than length works (you can also place it on the bottom pointing up but I've never tried that).
