Filter For My New Betta Tank

Hello everyone! Im pretty excited. Today my boyfriend and I got a beautiful half moon betta. He is red and white and absolutely beautiful. I used to have bettas when I was younger and missed them. I am using my 2.5 mini bow tank but Im unsure what filter to use. I don't have the filter anymore that the tank came with. I was going to use a nano filter that I had from before but its old and the current is too strong for my little guy. I am in Canada so I was wondering what suggestions you guys have for a filter for my tank? Thanks!

I have a tetra whisper 3i on my 1.5 gallon tank. It works pretty well and doesn't take up much space.
