Film on water

I found a film of something covering the whole of the surface of my bettas tank, I changed all the water cleaned everything but its coming back again and I changed the water on sunday, any idea whats causing this? and what it is?

dusting the house by chance ? Spraying anything in the house ?

nope nothing, i make sure nothing like that in the room.

then..... open windows in the room perhaps with wind (or even breeze) that could bring in dust particles ?

It's just dust and stuff in the water coming to the surface. Nothing that'll hurt him. If you put an airstone or small filter in there to keep the water circulating it'll keep it from happening.

In the "WAXY FILM ON TOP" thread they determined it was from too much stress coat. If you use that for conditioning your water that could be it too.

It is kind of waxy...I use the stuff i use when i do my comunity tank though, fresh start i think its called. maybe because my bettas tank is so small the 1mm of stuff i put in is to much? thats the lowest measure i can do unless if i do 1 drop per litre? would that be better?
