Filing Information About Your Fish?

I'm just recently starting to get interested in breeding platies seriously. I'm thinking I'd like to keep track of when/where/how I got the fish, as well as any health inssues they may have experienced, fry produced, and former tankmates- just to help me keep track of everything. Does anyone else have a filing system? I'm producing 2 excel spreadsheets containing blanks for the information listed above. I also provided myself with a blank platty outline so I could color in what the fish looks like incase I happen to forget who's who. My boyfriend believes I'm severely overthinking this, and he may be right- but I'm still interested to know if anyone else has a filing system of sorts?

I keep a log of probably a lot more than I need to. Water test results, temperatures, where the fish came from, fish sizes, breeding results, you name it. When you have an unhealthy fish or want to breed them, nothing helps more than a good log. I am just getting started with breeding some fish and it is helpful to look back and see the results of spawns under the different water conditions at the time. If you like I can send you a copy of my excelt spreadsheet to give you an idea of what I have set up. Just PM me if your interested.
