Fighting fish unwell help!!!!

Hi my fish seems unwell, it is not swimming much and stays in beside the pump, it looks like its shap has bowed a bit and colour fading, has anyone any idea what might be wrong?

Ok - brace yourself - LOTS of questions coming up!! I'm not trying to be negative, just find out as much info as possible so that we can help

• How long have you had him?
• How long ago did you notice the change in shape?
• What size/dimension is the tank that he is in?
• Are there any other creatures in the tank with him?
• What is "fine" for water stats? We need numbers for ammonia, nitirite, nitrate etc.
• How much and how often do you change the water?
• What temperature is the tank set at/do you have a heater in there?
• What do you feed and how often?
• Did you cycle the tank before you put the fish in?
• Are there any live plants in the tank?
• How long have his fins been that ragged?
• Is tht just a pump or is it filter as well?

TBH he looks in pretty poor shape so answers to these questions (and others I've forgotten if anyone else can think of them!) would be useful to help us help you.

It looks like some finrot on his tail, Finrot is caused by poor water conditions.

What water conditioner do you use? Eg Prime.
How strong is the current in the tank.
