g'day, i have just recently bought two dwarf gourami's, one is a pearl and the other is a flame. The fish shop said they weren't aggressive and i knew they both males due to their beautiful colours. I currently have a 34 litre tank with plenty of plants. But after a day they have started getting agro at each other and now one stays at one part of the tank and the other else where but then sometimes its like as if they have forgotten why there angry at each other and are just normal! I have also got two male guppies and a male baby platy (its father died and mother died giving birth, but only one live young? weird), but the gourami's dont have a problem with the other fish.

Should i keep both gouramis in the same tank or take one back?

ill post a picture once i have figure out how to do so.

cheers

It's best to take one back...the tank is too small for two, and they won't "learn" to get along. One will eventually be stressed to death or injured.

any gouramis are pretty much for the most part as follows: males fight eachother. your basic rule is 1 male for every 2-3 females i believe.. and 2 males in a small tank will just cause trouble. i learned the hard way, not with dwarfs, but with opalines.. so if u get more then one dwarf in the future 1 male and some females. for now, return one.
