Fighting Blue Gouramis

i have had 2 blue gouramis for about 6-7 months they have been fine for ages but they have started fighting it started when i added a new ornament could it be a territory thing or wat?

Take the ornament out and see what happens.

ok so i removed ornament this morning and they have stopped fighting it must have been territory should i take the ornament back and get a new one any help appreciated

It wasn't the ornament itself they were fighting over but the territory you must have broken up by adding it. As such, adding a different different one would have the same effect.

It is inevitable that two three-spot gouramies like yours will eventualy start fighting. They don't do well in pairs. If you encounter mroe aggression, cosnider re-homing one (especialy if they are both males) or, depending on your tank's size, adding some more similarly-sized females (if you have 2 females or a male/female pair).
