Has anyone on here ever seen bettas fight in real life or done it with one of their bettas?
Is the damage really bad?
How do you heal them afterwards?

*Before anyone asks weather im going to fight my VT, i would like to point out that I will defineately NOT be fighting him, i mearly want to find out more about it, and the internet doesnt really give clear answers...*

Yeah, ive seen some of the PK fights on Youtube, but i really dont want to watch VTs or HMs or anything...
I was wondering about real life, cos then you can get a real idea of weather they get shreded or not, and weather its crule...

Hopefully Cracker can shed some light on it..

Decide for yourself, as both the pro and anti crowds will probably be a bit biased. Clicking the image above will bring you to fighterbetta.com, which has information, images, etc. on betta fighting. I would remind you while reading it, however, that recent studies have basically proven that fish feel pain, so fighting probably does indeed hurt. Wether you think inflicting pain (and even death) for betting or entertainment is wrong, or if fighting is an important way to express instinctive behavior and create strong stock, is a matter of personal opinion and ethics. I'm sure Cracker can give you some very helpful info. :good: I'd check your laws though; while in some countries betta fighting is a widely accepted cultural tradition, many Western countries counsider it a blood sport and an act of animal cruelty, and in a handful, it is illegal.
