Looking good mate. Out of interest, how much food do they get through? I don't imagine they have small appetites!

Lovely Rays - Do they eat the river shrimp too?

Chris

Yes the rays love river shrimp you wont find a ray that doesnt.

I get through 500g of morio worms a month there for the aro. I feed prawns and white bait to the rest at the moment there get through about 1.5kg of prawn and 500g of whitebait a month. I also feed Hikari sinking carnivore pellets which the birchirs and girraffe cat love.

Your hoover, I mean giraffe cat, is getting big. He's probably the coolest catfish I've ever seen.

Everyone is looking healthy and happy, great job Mark. :good:

Nice setup! Brilliant fish and great pics m8.

Gonna go for something like this for my next one in a few years tho :)

Wow, I really love the ray! Fantastic fish! That's amazing :) I think you must be the same person who posted pics of it colouring up black at some point, since there's not many people keep rays.
Lovely clean looking tank too, spot on!

One question: how come you chose gravel, rather than sand, for your ray as a substrate?

I'm envious! Gorgeous looking fish :)

No the ray changing from brown to black was another members, there are quite a few of us who keep rays on this forum.
